Midnight Sun “Employee of the Month” !
This program is designed to reward employees for exemplary conduct and for working above and beyond the call of duty!
July award was given to Motor Coach Operaton Deborah Hart Bryant!
Deborah Hart Bryan moved from Cleveland, Ohio, to Florida when she was only 6 months old; and she has enjoyed the Florida sunshine since then. Deborah joined Midnight Sun approximately 3 years ago and says she has loved her job since day one. One of her favorite destinations is Branson, Missouri, where she has driven many bus tours. Military moves are also close to her heart; she is especially proud when she has the opportunity to drive for troop transfers, since her own son serves and is preparing to be deployed this month.
During her free time, Deborah loves to go on walks in the park and is a “nature girl” by heart. She has a wonderful sense of humor and friends, family, and passengers will always see a big bright smile on her face. She has two daughters who, no doubt, have inherited her infectious smile. Deborah also enjoys music in large scale, from country music to classic opera.

Leo is the newest addition to Midnight Sun’s Sales Team, joining in March 2010. Prior to sales, he was one of Midnight Sun’s finest motor coach operators, so he really understands all aspects of transportation service. Leo is a “people person” and enjoys his work, whether he is on the phone assisting customers or occasionally back behind the wheel. He was born in the District of Colombia and has been driving large vehicles since he was 17 years old. Leo has also enjoyed working as a teacher, disc jockey and kids’ summer camp entertainer. Midnight Sun is happy that Leo decided to join the company as a motor coach operator in 2008. Co-workers enjoy his sense of humor and his many stories. Occasional visits by his grandson, Aidan, make everyone’s heart melt. Leo and his wife have 6 children. One of Leo’s favorite hobbies is cooking. His 1975 BMW motorcycle has a special spot in his heart as well. Thank you, Leo, for your great work!

Jeff is one of the newer drivers who celebrated one year anniversary with Midnight Sun few months ago. He is already loved by so many customers including just finished Boca Chamber Leadership participants. Jeff is seen on the big bus - 61 passenger coach which he has been "piloting" since they arrived earlier in spring. Jeff is a people person and he enjoys the every day new experinces and new people what is exactly what transportation business is about , never know where the bus will go the next day.
Off duty Jeff enjoys spending time with his family. He loves taking walks with his wife and spent quality time with son who is now in a college in Denver and play golf. Faith is very important for Jeff's family. He services in ministeries.

Tuomo or "Tom" as many of the customers know him, has a long history with Midnight Sun. Tuomo moved to Florida in 1975 from his home country Finland. He is a father of three and also a grandfather of three wonderful grandchildren. He started as a tour guide and tour director at Midnight Sun in 1987 and later on became a driver for many groups to come ever since. From long distance trips he mentioned some of the most enjoyable experiences to be California parks, Vegas area, Canadian North-East and New England. Meeting thousands of people and some becoming life time friends is the core of the transportation business, which he appreciates and enjoys being part of.
When Tuomo is not working, he is involved in church music ministry.

Donna has a long history with Midnight Sun Tours - Her father was the original creator and owner of Midnight Sun. Donna has been taking care of the night calls and all the dispatcing done after 5pm for 17 years. She loves the fact that the company went from family owned and operated to currectly corporate owned - but still as it's it own entity , Midnight Sun has kept the family feeling. During the day time she is a motormom taking care of her kids and their motorcycle hobby. She is there to help them every way she can. She also enjoys reading. Shopping is one of her intrest which she shares with her mom and sisters - she knows where the good bargains are!

Just few weeks ago Thomas Day was on route from California back to Florida with 61 passenger coach, one of the latest additions to Midnight Sun's growing bus fleet. Thomas likes going for long distance trips whether it is Las Vegas or North Carolina. He has been part of many Florida college tours with different size groups. He enjoys taking care elderly groups and taking them to theater or museum trips or day in casino.
Off the driver duties - music has big part of his life.
Thomas and his wife are active church members. Thomas sings and playes instruments and many fellow employees saw him in action on Dorothea's wedding making sure the crowd was well entertained before the ceremony. He has also finds some time just to relax and play golf.

Rafael is one of our mechanic specialists. He has been with Midnight Sun for 8 years. He enjoys all mechanical challenges and no matter what is the problem - he can fix it.
During the Superbowl time he was in Miami to make sure if there are any problems with the buses, he will take care of it. He got to meet celebrities and enjoyed the game athmosphere. During his free time he excells his mechanical skills from lawn mowers to cars. He has been married with his wife for 26 years. Family is very important for him.

December 2009 award winner was Benjamin Sybron!
Benjamin just celebrated his Four Year Anniversary with Midnight Sun Tours. Just like the previous Employee of the Month, he really enjoys his job. Benjamin is originally from Jamaica and he is making sure the passengers on his bus are enjoying their time while he is making sure they are safe. Last week we got a phone call from a customer, who just wanted to let the office know how talented driver his group had and how impressed they were. This driver was Benjamin.
During his free time Benjamin can be found on various water activities. He enjoys swimming, fishing and boating - great hobbies to enjoy the beautiful Florida sun!
Benjamin is also very active on his Christian church, which he loves.

November 2009
Not only he got the award for the month November, Jerry Pouncey was also chosen to be the Employee of the Year by co-workers in December. Congratulations Jerry!
Jerry has always a big smile on and his jolly personality makes many customers happy. Jerry enjoyes working with his co-workers and they have become his extended family. He makes sure the groups are happy in his bus and appreciates all the feedback from the customers. He works with many type of groups which brings a great variety to his work which he loves. One day he is taking care of local school to movies and next day going for a 4 day trip to Atlanta. Jerry has been with Midnight Sun for five years and loving it!

November Employee of the month Motor Coach Operator Anthony Miller!
Anthony is a native Floridian from Tallahassee. He just celebrated his first year with Midnight Sun and he has charmed everyone with his farmboy friendliness. He has really enjoyed taking care of the international groups and meeting people from different cultures. He is just plain happy to be able work with fellow drivers and great customers. What an impressive first year for Anthony. Keep up the great work Anthony, the customers truly appreciate your helpfulness and professionalism. When you meet Anthony, ask him about his hat collection, see if you guess how many he has!

September Employee of the month Bus Detailer Marisel Polanco!
Marisel has been taking care of the clenliness of the buses for past eight years and her work is greatly appreciated by Midnight Sun's customers as well as the drivers. Marisel likes the family athmosphere at the yard and the great team work with office staff, mechanics and drivers. She says she enjoyes her work alot.

August Employee of the month Sales Representative Connie Georgic!
Connie has been with Midnight Sun 4.5 years. She started in our tour division and then moved to the sales department a year later. She enjoys her co-workers and loves working with her customers.
Connie holds a Master’s Degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Organizational Leadership. She’s been married for 33 years and has one son who is an Eagle Scout! In her spare time, she can be seen with her grandson and daughter-in-law shopping at the mall.

July's congratulations belonged to one of our long time employees Bus Operator Kai Lindholm.
Kai has been with Midnight Sun tours for 12 years. He has enjoyed working with all the different type of groups and he has only happy mememories to tell about his trips.
Kai and his wife of 39 years, have 3 talened children who are allready college graduates. During his freetime he enjoyes working at the house, painting and doing all type of home improvements. Congratulations Kai!

June's congratulations belonged to Bus Detailer Victor Montanez, Congratulations!
At Midnight Sun, all employees are a team , together we make sure your transportation is all around great experince. Victor is the night owl, who makes sure your bus will leave clean from the yard. He has been detailing the buses for 13 years. His work hours would not work for everyone. From 3am , when you are deep in sleep , Victor makes the buses shine. He helps the cleaning crew when needed, collects the items left behind to Lost and Found - from cellphones, cameras and eyeglasses to drama department props like a box of feathers!
And see the smile he has at 11 am when his duty ended today :)
We are happy to have Victor as part of our team!

April Employee Award Receiver was Motor Coach Operator John J Brill, Congratulations!
John has been driving buses since 1960. He has been with Midnight Sun for 9 years after relocating to Palm Beach. He feels blessed to work with the other Midnight Sun drivers.
He enjoyes the flexibility of the work with changing schedules and locations, working with diffent types of customer groups and meeting new people. He is a big baseball fan and watches all games possible.
During the weekends when not on route or during the week to relax, John can be found swinging the stress away at the golf course. He loves the outdoors and mentions his patio being the favorite part of the house.

March Employee of the Month, Motor Coach Operator Ed Bellach, Congratulations!
Ed has been a motor coach operator since -92 and with Midnight Sun for last 6 years. He has traveled all together thousands of miles on local travel and East Coast and Canada. He enjoyes meeting new people and taking the groups to all types of destinations. For the last 5 years Ed has been taking care of the NY Mets transportation and as a big baseball fan like Ed, he is very excited about it.
Ed is a proud father of four and in October he will be celebrating 25th Wedding Anniversary with his wife Belinda.
They all share the common interest for sports and music.

Ferbruary Employee of the Month, Motor Coach Operator Al Aine, Congratulations!
Al has been with Midnight Sun since 1999 and likes the comradery of the fellow drivers and the staff of course. In past 10 years he has been taking groups all around United States, but he mentions the Canadian scenic routes to be one of his favorite destinations.
Al enjoys music and likes to spend time with his grand children as much as possible. On a sunny day you can find Al on the greens. Golf is one of his other hobbies he really enjoys. He also knows the ins and outs of the real estate business.

The new year started with the January employee of the month, Dorothia Moore, Congratulations!
Dorothia joined the Midnight Sun family as a bus operator in -98 but in 2002 she moved from behind the wheel to operations and she became Dispatcher. She loves her job and the drivers, who she calls her children. During the Grad Nite's she welcomes the drivers with early morning breakfast.
Dorothia is a proud mother and grandmother of one. She just got married on Valentine's Day and we would like to wish all the happiness for her and her husband!
Her hobbies include singing gospel with her church choir and the gospel group called The Heavenly Stars, which she has been with for 38 years and traveled to perform in several states.

December employee of the Month is Account Executive Minna Tervola, Congratulations!
Minna Tervola is one of the voices on our sales department. She enjoys working behind the desk, but as an outside sales representative, she also meets many customers on the road for more personalized service. She looks forward helping you on your upcoming event transportation. After days on road , Minna can be found at the gym, volleyball court, floorball practise or drifting event just to mention few of the sports she is involved. Husband and daughter are happy to share the same intrests with her.
